San Diego, CA. – A 43-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run collision Thursday morning in San Diego's Mountain View neighborhood.
The crash occurred around 8:17 a.m. in the 1400 block of South 43rd Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The man was riding a purple Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound in the No. 2 lane when he veered into the northbound No. 1 lane.
A vehicle approached from behind and overtook him from the left side before moving to the right, hitting the motorcycle.
The impact knocked the rider to the ground.
The vehicle fled northbound on 43rd Street without stopping.
The 43-year-old rider sustained a fractured right clavicle and abrasions to his right elbow. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The motorcyclist described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored sedan.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating the hit-and-run accident.
