East Los Angeles, CA. – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a car Friday afternoon in East Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred around 4:55 p.m. on the eastbound Highway 60, just west of the 710 Freeway.

According to authorities, a motorcyclist slammed into the rear of a car for an unknown reason.

The rider was able to stand up after the crash, but was limping.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to Los Angeles General Medical Center with a leg injury.

Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
