Bicyclist Killed in Modesto Accident on River Road Near Ryder Way
Modesto, California (August 3, 2021) – A male bicyclist died following a traffic collision in Modesto Monday evening, a California Highway Patrol said.
The fatal bicycle on River Road near east of Ryder Way shortly before 7:15 p.m.
As per the report, a sedan driven by a woman struck a man while riding his bicycle westbound in the 800 block of River Road.

Sadly, the unidentified bicyclist was declared dead at the scene.
The sedan operator, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the collision, was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Meanwhile, the crash resulted in the closure of the highway for an unknown time.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
