At Least 1 Killed, Several Injured in Modesto Car Crash on Highway 132 near San Joaquin River
Modesto, California (August 29, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly Modesto car crash that happened Saturday night on Highway 132.
The crash occurred at around 9:11 p.m. near the San Joaquin River.
Two vehicles collided head-on for unknown reasons, blocking the roadway.
Caltrans responded to the scene and closed both lanes of the highway.
As per the report, at least one person was killed in the accident.
One person was taken by air ambulance to the trauma center at Doctors Medical Center and another by ground ambulance to the same hospital. A third person was transported to Memorial Medical Center by ground ambulance. The extent of injuries and conditions of the patients were not mentioned.
The roadway remained closed until 12:33 a.m., Sunday.
