Tempe, AZ.- Melody Mason has been identified as the bicyclist who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Tempe on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Tempe Police Department, the crash happened on 10th Street and Maple Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. February 4.
Mason was riding an electric bike in the area when she pulled out in front of a car and was struck by the eastbound vehicle.
Police reported that Mason was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver remained at the scene after the accident.
The incident is under investigation.
