According to California Highway Patrol, Seeger was walking north on Airport Drive when a northbound vehicle struck her and left the area before authorities arrived.
Oildale, CA.- The pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Oildale on Sunday night has been identified as Melani Joann Seeger, 38, of Bakersfield, the Kern County Coroner's Office reported.
The accident occurred on Airport Drive near Roberts Lane at around 8:46 p.m. October 26.
According to California Highway Patrol, Seeger was walking north on Airport Drive when a northbound vehicle struck her and left the area before authorities arrived.
Seeger was declared deceased at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call investigators at 661-396-6600.
