County, CA.- The woman who was hit and killed by a vehicle in early Saturday morning has been identified as Maria Paredes, 74, according to the authorities.

The incident took place on Clinton Avenue just east of Bond Street at about 5:30 a.m. March 15.

The authorities reported that Paredes was using a walker on westbound Clinton Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle.

Paredes died following the accident.

The involved driver remained at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
