Santa Barbara County, CA – A driver suffered serious injuries in a rollover collision on Highway 101 on the Gaviota Coast, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department reported.

A Toyota Tundra pickup truck veered off the highway and overturned, landing near the adjacent railroad tracks.
Santa Barbara County firefighters took about 30 minutes to extricate the driver from the car using hydraulic tools.
The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken by AMR ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with serious injuries.
The right-hand southbound highway lane remained closed during the rescue operation. Train traffic was also temporarily halted.
CHP is investigating the accident.
