Man Killed in Seattle Crash on Thorndyke Avenue West
Seattle, WA.- A man was killed in a head-on accident that occurred in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle on Monday evening, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident was reported in the 2800 block of Thorndyke Avenue West at about 6:15 p.m. August 18.
Police reported that a 70-year-old man was driving a red Toyota when he drifted across the centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming gray Jeep.
The Seattle Fire Department crews rushed to the scene and rendered aid to both drivers.
However, the driver of the Toyota succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, a 25-year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
The Seattle Police Department is handling the investigation.
