A white Jeep SUV was traveling at high speed when it rear-ended a blue Mazda sedan

Anderson, CA. – A 25-year-old man was killed in a car accident that happened on Tuesday morning in Anderson.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1:20 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near Balls Ferry Road.
A white Jeep SUV was traveling at high speed when it rear-ended a blue Mazda sedan driven by a 64-year-old man from Washington.
The impact sent the Jeep off the roadway where it struck a guardrail, and rolled down an embankment.
The Jeep's driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two male passengers of the Jeep, aged 16 and 18, were transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the Mazda sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
