Sacramento County, CA. – A man in his 60s was seriously injured Thursday night after being hit by a car in the Arden-Arcade area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 9 p.m. on Cottage Way near Fulton Avenue.
CHP said the man was walking northbound across on Cottage Way outside a crosswalk when a car turning onto Cottage Way from Fulton Avenue struck him.
He was taken to the hospital with major injuries.
The driver, a man in his 20s, said he did not see the pedestrian until he hit him.
Authorities said alcohol was not a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
