Santa Rosa, CA. – A man died Thursday afternoon after his SUV veered off Highway 101 in Santa Rosa and overturned in a roadside ditch, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on the northbound lanes near Yolanda Avenue.
Investigators said the driver of a Ford Expedition was traveling in the middle lane when he lost control and veered left, struck a guardrail, then the vehicle landed upside down in a roadside ditch.
The driver was pulled from the vehicle and taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
