Lassen County, CA – At least one person died in a traffic collision that happened Tuesday morning near Doyle in Lassen County.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the incident occurred around 6:08 a.m. on the southbound Highway 395 south of Constantia Road.
A vanpool van and a red Toyota Tacoma were involved in a head-on collision.
Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the crash. The responders requested an air ambulance and multiple ground ambulances due to the severity of the accident.
According to CHP, the driver of one of the cars died in the crash.
An unknown number of other parties were injured.
The Doyle Fire Department shut down Highway 395 at Constantia Road and Hall Road during the rescue operation.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
