Person Killed in Knightsen Pedestrian Accident on Byron Highway

Contra Costa County, California (September 5, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle late Saturday night in the Knightsen area of Contra Costa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 11:14 p.m. Saturday, September 4, the CHP officers responded to the 8000 block of Byron Highway to investigate a report of a pedestrian having been hit by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of the family.
