Ira Bushinsky ID'd as Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Costa Mesa (55) Freeway near Katella Avenue in Orange

Orange, California (September 4, 2021) – The motorcyclist who died early Friday morning following a traffic collision in Orange has been identified by the Orange County Coroner's Bureau as Ira Bushinsky, 68, of Garden Grove.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened at around 5:40 a.m. Friday, September 3, on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway near Katella Avenue.
The CHP said Bushinsky was riding a motorcycle in the number one lane of the northbound 55 Freeway when a vehicle reportedly impacted with his bike.
The motorcycle fell into the traffic lanes, and Bushinsky was thrown off the bike. He was then struck by a 2019 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old Riverside woman.

Bushinsky was declared deceased at the scene.
