Ahwatukee, AZ.- Injuries were reported in a car collision that happened near Ahwatukee on Wednesday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Shortly before 7 a.m., authorities responded to reports of a crash on the Loop 202 South Mountain freeway at the 24th Street exit.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash on the eastbound side of the freeway.
There were reports of injuries in the incident.
The number of those hurt and the extent of their injuries were not specified.
Three eastbound lanes of the freeway were shut down temporarily following the accident.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
