Petaluma, CA.- A bicyclist died days after being involved in a collision with a vehicle in Petaluma earlier this month, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
The incident took place on Industrial Avenue and Corona Road on January 11.
According to the police report, a driver was trying to make a right turn at the intersection when they collided with the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet and was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with a head injury.
The victim, identified as Hugo Lopez, 62, of Rohnert Park, was pronounced deceased at the hospital on January 17.
The driver remained at the scene after the accident.
An investigation into the accident is being conducted by the Petaluma Police Department.
