Hesperia, CA – A man was seriously hurt when he was hit by a vehicle while pushing a bicycle at an intersection in Hesperia early Tuesday morning.
According to the authorities, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded at around 3:31 a.m. March 3, to the accident in the area of Main Street and Fifth Avenue.
The pedestrian was reportedly pushing a bicycle northbound across Main Street, alongside his dog, when a white Chevrolet Express traveling east on Main Street hit them.
Personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department transported the pedestrian to a hospital with major injuries.
The victim was later transferred by helicopter to another hospital for further treatment. He was only identified as a 51-year-old Hesperia man. The dog died at the scene following the crash.
The driver of the Chevrolet stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
