Hermosa Beach, CA – A man was injured when he was hit by a vehicle while riding an e-bike in the Hermosa Beach area on Monday night, according to the Hermosa Beach Police Department.
The incident transpired in the 1800 block of the Pacific Coast Highway at around 7 p.m. on Monday, January 12.
Investigators reveal that a driver was traveling on the PCH when they swerved into the center lane to avoid stopped traffic and collided with a man riding an e-bike.
The Hermosa Beach Police Department responded to the scene and found the victim with major injuries. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and was listed in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.
The accident led to the closure of the PCH for hours as authorities conducted the on-scene investigation.
Hermosa Beach police are still trying to find out the exact cause of the accident.
