According to California Highway Patrol logs, the pileup took place around 2:39 p.m. on November 1, 2026, on the Willow Avenue on-ramp to westbound Interstate 80.

A motorcycle and two cars were involved in the crash. The rider was lying in traffic lanes after the collision, and a Mercedes-Benz van was blocking the victim from being struck by other motorists. The rider was helped to get out of the lanes.

The report said the motorcyclist suffered major injuries in the accident.

The bike was towed away from the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
