Gary Devlin Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 202 near Milepost 15 in Clatsop County

Clatsop County, OR. – 60-year-old Gary Lee Devlin of St. Helens was killed in a traffic collision on Highway 202 in Clatsop County Saturday afternoon.

According to the Oregon State Police, the incident was reported at about 1:34 p.m. July 27 on State Route 202 near milepost 15.

The preliminary investigation indicated a westbound Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Devlin entered the eastbound lane after failing to negotiate a curve and collided head-on with an eastbound Lexus SUV driven by Terry Alan Bowers, 79, of Portland.

Devlin was declared deceased at the scene. Bowers sustained no injuries.

He remained at the crash site and cooperated with the officers.

The wreck impacted the highway for about four hours.

No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.

An investigation is underway.
