Fresno, CA – A teenage boy was injured in a crash between a vehicle and a mini bike at an intersection in Fresno on Sunday evening, according to the Fresno Police Department.

The accident happened at the Shields and West avenues intersection at around 7:30 p.m. on May 3.

Fresno police reported that a driver traveling northbound on West Avenue stopped for a red light at the intersection. The driver then proceeded into the intersection and collided with a teenager riding a gas-powered mini bike eastbound on Shields Avenue.

The impact of the collision ejected the rider from the bike.

First responders found teen with significant injuries at the scene and rushed him to a local hospital.

The driver of the involved vehicle was uninjured in the accident. There were no reports of any arrests or citations issued as a result of the incident.
