Fresno, CA – A man died after being hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning at an intersection in Fresno, authorities reported.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident was reported around 12:30 a.m. on June 25, 2026, at Blackstone Avenue and Olive Avenue.
Investigators determined that the accident happened when a pedestrian walking outside a crosswalk in the area was struck by a car traveling south on Blackstone Avenue. The area has poor lighting.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
