Fresno, CA – A bicyclist traveling the wrong way without lights was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Friday evening at an intersection in Fresno, authorities reported.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the cyclist was traveling southbound in the northbound lane without lights when a car pulled out and hit the rider at a slow speed.

Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The cyclist was able to speak to the medics at the scene.
