Fresno Accident on Cedar Avenue near Shaw Avenue Injures 2
Fresno, California (September 3, 2021) –Two people were hospitalized after being involved in a pedestrian and a motorcycle accident in Fresno Thursday night.
The major injury crash took place on Cedar Avenue, just south of Shaw Avenue, at about 8:30 p.m.
A woman, in her 60s, was attempting to cross Cedar Avenue on a dark stretch when a motorcycle ridden by a man, in his 20s, struck her.
Pedestrian and Motorcyclist Hurt in Fresno Crash
Due to the impact, the rider was ejected from the motorbike and suffered minor injuries.
The pedestrian reportedly sustained a head injury in the accident.
Following the crash, the motorcyclist immediately fled the scene, but he later returned himself.
Both unidentified patients were rushed to an area hospital for medication.
According to the officers, the area is very dark, and the lack of visibility is likely to be the cause of the collision. An investigation into the accident is underway.
