Canyon Country, CA.- The man who was killed in a head-on collision late last month in Canyon Country has been identified as Acton resident Frank Navarro, 47, according to authorities.
The deadly two-vehicle crash took place at about 5:30 a.m. October 29 on Sierra Highway, just north of Vasquez Canyon Road
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, two Ford Mustangs crashed head-on on the highway and one of them hit a pole.
Navarro was riding in one of the vehicles and was declared deceased at the scene.
A second party was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital with unspecified injuries.
The crash led to the closure of Sierra Highway for approximately five hours for the investigation.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
