Everson, WA – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that left at least one person injured near Everson on Tuesday evening, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck happened in the 7300 block of Everson-Goshen Road shortly after 6 p.m. on January 6.
According to WSP, three vehicles were involved in the accident but its cause was not immediately established. One of the involved drivers reportedly fled on foot after the collision.
The Whatcom County Fire District, Everson Police Department, and WSP responded to the scene of the accident and rendered aid to the involved parties. Several people were transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
It's unclear whether authorities located the motorist who fled the scene of the accident.
A portion of Everson-Goshen Road was shut down as authorities investigated the crash. At least one lane was reopened by 7:45 p.m.
The WSP is conducting an investigation into the collision.
