According to investigators, four vehicles, including a Toyota Matrix and a Ford Fusion, were involved in the collision on the southbound lanes of the highway. The Toyota and the Ford were both left with major injuries.

Eureka, CA – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that sent two minors and an adult to a hospital on Wednesday evening just north of Eureka, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
The accident transpired at around 5:56 p.m. June 16, on US 101 near Mid City Motorworld.
According to investigators, four vehicles, including a Toyota Matrix and a Ford Fusion, were involved in the collision on the southbound lanes of the highway. The Toyota and the Ford were both left with major injuries.
CHP and emergency crews immediately responded to the scene and rendered aid to the involved parties.
After evaluation, two minors and an adult were transported by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment. The hospitalized patients reportedly had minor injuries.
Pacific Towing provided tow services to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene. Lanes were temporarily shut as crews worked to clear the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is working to establish the cause of the accident.
