, CA. – Elizabeth Mariley Crane, 25, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Saturday evening in Truckee.

According to the Truckee Police Department, the accident happened on Donner Pass Road near the Tahoe Donner Boat launch at around 6 p.m.

A vehicle is reported to have struck a Crane and an unidentified man.

Crane died at the scene.

The male pedestrian was transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital for critical injuries and then flown to Renown Hospital in Reno.

The driver of the car, Martin Otiniano, remained at the accident scene. He was later arrested for vehicular manslaughter and was booked in the Nevada County Jail.
