Driver Dies After Crashing Vehicle into San Francisco’s Mission District Building

San Francisco, CA. — A driver was killed early Friday morning when a van crashed into a building in San Francisco’s Mission District, the San Francisco Police Department reported.

The collision occurred just before 2 a.m. in the 2100 block of Harrison Street.

A van slammed into the lobby of a residential building in the area for an unknown reason.

The driver was trapped inside.

Paramedics responded and pronounced the motorist dead at the scene.

The building sustained damage and required repairs, but the residents were allowed to remain inside.

SFPD is investigating the cause of the crush.
