Preliminary reports indicate that a red GMC pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on SR 113 when it drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a gray Ram pickup truck.

Dixon, CA – Three people were killed in a crash between two vehicles near Dixon in Solano County early Friday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place at around 6:35 a.m. July 31, on State Route 113 just north of Hay Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that a red GMC pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on SR 113 when it drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a gray Ram pickup truck.
Crews from the Dixon Fire Department responded to the scene and worked to extricate parties from the involved vehicles.
The two occupants of the GMC pickup truck and the driver of the second vehicle were all killed in the accident. The identities of the deceased parties were not immediately made public.
Both directions of SR 113 were shut down between Fry Road and Hay Road as a result of the collision.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating to determine what led up to the accident.
