Crane County, TX. – A man was killed in a rear-end crash on Tuesday afternoon in Crane County.
According to local police, the accident happened on US Highway 385 near mile marker 386 at around 4:30 p.m.
A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 84-year-old Derrel Harvey was traveling northbound on US Highway 385 when it struck the rear of a 2000 Volvo VNL hauling a trailer that had stopped due to road construction.
Harvey was taken to the hospital where he died.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
