Minor Injuries Sustained in Concord Car Crash on Interstate 680 near Willow Pass Road On-Ramp
Concord, California (August 6, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle pileup that happened Thursday afternoon in Concord, resulting in minor injuries.
The incident was reported just after 3:00 p.m. on northbound Interstate 680, near Willow Pass Road on-ramp.
Five vehicles, including a Hyundai Santa Fe, a red SUV, and a silver SUV, were involved in the collision.
The report did not mention the cause and manner of the wreck but said both SUVs went off the roadway, ending up in the REI Camping Store plot.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to help the motorists involved.
The report said only minor injuries were sustained in the crash. It remained unclear if anyone was hospitalized.
At least three vehicles were towed away from the scene.
