Colfax, CA – One person sustained severe injuries in a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday afternoon in Colfax, the California Highway Patrol reported.

CHP reported that a blue Suzuki GSF motorcycle and a car were involved in the crash.
First responders found the motorcycle blocking the roadway, possibly split in two, and a Toyota Rav4 and a Toyota pickup truck pulled over just west of Cape Horn Road. Details about the exact vehicle that collided with the motorcycle were not available.
One person sustained major injuries in the crash. The patient was hospitalized in unknown condition.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause and manner of the accident.
