Cochise County, AZ– A Thursday afternoon collision left one person dead at an intersection in Cochise County, according to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported at about 1:12 p.m. January 15, near Moson and Hereford roads.
According to the authorities, Gavin Williams, 37, of Hereford, was driving a 2011 Toyota Scion eastbound on Hereford Road when he attempted to make a left turn and collided with a westbound 2007 Dodge 3500 dually.
Deputies with the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office as well as fire crews and medical personnel arrived at the scene shortly after. Williams was declared deceased at the scene by the medics.
The driver of the Dodge sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Canyon Vista Medical Center for treatment.
There were no additional details released on the incident. The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deadly crash.
