Sacramento, CA. — A California Highway Patrol officer was hospitalized Tuesday night after a crash that destroyed a patrol vehicle in South Sacramento, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 10:23 p.m. near the intersection of Stockton Boulevard and Mack Road, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
Officials reported that the CHP vehicle was heavily damaged after the crash that happened under unclear circumstances.
The officer inside the car sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No other vehicles or injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
