Bridgeport, CA. – One person died in a traffic collision that happened Friday afternoon in Bridgeport, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 2:55 p.m. on Highway 395 just north of Buckeye Road.
Two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason.
A person called 911 to report the crash to authorities. The party added that a dog outside one of the cars bit them.
Police officers responded to the scene and blocked both the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway.
The report said one person died in the accident.
All lanes were reopened around 5:42 p.m. when the scene was cleared.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
