Chatsworth, CA – An investigation is underway into a rollover crash that left one person dead and two others injured in Chatsworth early Monday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the wreck was reported at around 1:27 a.m. September 14, on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway at Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

Preliminary reports indicate that two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of the freeway and the impact caused one of them to roll over.

The California Highway Patrol and LAFD crews arrived at the scene shortly after and attended to three parties.

One person was declared deceased at the scene. There was no update on the condition of the other two patients.

The westbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.

There were no additional details on the accident. The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine what led up to the collision.
