According to police, Charlene Carol Ferguson, 91, of Elk Grove, was driving a Lincoln Town Car northbound on Salmon Creek Drive when she tried to make an illegal U-turn
Elk Grove, CA.- A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Elk Grove on Saturday afternoon, according to the Elk Grove Police Department.
The accident was reported at around 2:50 p.m. September 27, on Salmon Creek Drive and Bond Road.
According to police, Charlene Carol Ferguson, 91, of Elk Grove, was driving a Lincoln Town Car northbound on Salmon Creek Drive when she tried to make an illegal U-turn.
At the same time, a Toyota Rav4 was heading east on Bond Road and crashed into the driver’s side of the Lincoln.
Ferguson was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The other driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Elk Grove Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
