Chandler, AZ – The motorcyclist who was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Chandler early Thursday morning has been identified as Alfredo Valenzuela, 59, according to the Chandler Police Department.
At about 4:30 a.m. December, 18, authorities responded to a crash at the intersection of Gilbert and Germann roads, just south of Loop 202 Santan Freeway.
According to Chandler police, Valenzuela was riding a motorcycle through the intersection when he got into a collision with a second vehicle, believed to be a pickup truck.
The Chandler Police Department and medics responded to the scene and found Valenzuela unresponsive and with severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed and cooperated with the investigators. Authorities said the involved motorcycle sustained major damage.
There were no arrests made in connection with the accident. Roads were shut down near the intersection for nearly three hours following the crash.
The Chandler Police Department is conductung an investigation into the accident.
