Preliminary reports indicate that a white FedEx semi-truck was stopped along the right side of northbound I-15 when it was hit from behind by a motorcycle

Cajon Pass, CA – A motorcyclist was injured after crashing into a stopped FedEx Truck on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on the freeway just south of Oak Hill Road at about 5:48 p.m. on May 5.
Preliminary reports indicate that a white FedEx semi-truck was stopped along the right side of northbound I-15 when it was hit from behind by a motorcycle. The rider was believed to have been weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the truck.
Upon arrival at the scene, CHP and emergency crews found the rider down in the No. 4 and No. 5 lanes.
Medics attended to the motorcyclist before transporting them to a hospital for further treatment. The rider’s condition was not specified in the CHP report.
The driver of the truck, who was sleeping inside the cab at the time, was not injured in the collision.
At least two northbound lanes of I-15 were shut down for hours following the collision. By 7:09 p.m., all lanes had been reopened.
The California Highway Patrol Inland Division station is handling an ongoing investigation into the incident.
