Bart Shepardson ID'd as Folsom Man Killed in Folsom Crash at Willow Creek Drive and Oak Avenue Parkway
Folsom, California (September 5, 2021) – Bart Shepardson has been identified as the 65-year-old Folsom man who was killed in a Wednesday night traffic accident in Folsom, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 8:22 p.m., on August 18, at Willow Creek Drive and Oak Avenue Parkway.
According to the officials, a vehicle driven by Anthony Michael Espinosa struck Shepardson, who was walking in the area. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.
Shepardson was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Espinosa fled the scene but was later arrested near Collins Park on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol level over 0.08, and driving under the influence, causing significant bodily injury.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
