Bakersfield, CA – The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the Moreno Valley man who died five days after a two-vehicle collision on the 5 Freeway in Bakersfield.
Angel Madrigal was involved in the collision around 9:23 p.m. on May 8 on the southbound 5 Freeway near Lost Hills Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Madrigal was driving a car on the freeway when, for reasons still under investigation, he collided with another vehicle.
The crash left the Moreno Valley man hospitalized with serious injuries.
According to the coroner’s office, Madrigal later died on May 13 while receiving treatment at Kern Medical.
No other details were available, but CHP is investigating.
