Azusa, CA – One person was sent to the hospital after a multi-vehicle collision that happened early Thursday morning on a freeway in Azusa, the California Highway Patrol reported.

CHP officers said several vehicles were involved in the crash.

At least one person was hospitalized with unknown injuries.

A witness at the scene said a Jeep was stalled in traffic lanes, prompting a collision involving four cars. The details were, however, not confirmed by authorities.

The HOV and the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes were closed during the investigation. The lanes were reopened around 2:48 a.m.
