Multi-Vehicle Crash on Port Chicago Highway and State Route 4

Concord, CA. – At least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Friday evening in Concord, the California Highway Patrol said.

The collision took place around 8:04 p.m. on the Port Chicago Highway on-ramp to the eastbound State Route 4.

A sheriff’s deputy came upon a crash in the area involving a blue Mazda, a white BMW, and a black Dodge Charger. Airbags were deployed in all the vehicles.

CHP officers and firefighters responded to the scene.

An occupant in the BMW was unresponsive but breathing, and was possibly having convulsions. Firefighters offered medical aid to the victim and others who were also possibly hurt.

Several traffic lanes were blocked in the area following the crash.

CHP is investigating the accident.
