Burbank, CA.- At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Burbank on Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck took place on the 5 Freeway at Alameda Avenue at around 3:45 a.m.

A driver traveling the wrong way triggered a multi-vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of the freeway.

The number of vehicles involved was not specified.

According to CHP, at least one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At least three other parties were transported with unspecified injuries.

All northbound lanes were expected to be shut down for at least two hours following the accident.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
