According to WSP, an 88-year-old Ashford woman was driving a 2015 Subaru Legacy southbound at Alder Cuttoff Road when she failed to stop for a stop sign and was hit by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado heading north on SR 7

Alder Lake, WA.- An elderly woman was killed in a crash involving two vehicles near Alder Lake on Monday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident took place on SR 7 at Alder Cutoff Road at about 3:36 p.m. September 1.
According to WSP, an 88-year-old Ashford woman was driving a 2015 Subaru Legacy southbound at Alder Cuttoff Road when she failed to stop for a stop sign and was hit by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado heading north on SR 7.
The woman was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Subaru, an 82-year-old Eatonville man, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to WSP, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
