Rider Killed in Arroyo Grande Motorcycle Accident on Lopez Drive near Lake Dam

Arroyo Grande, California (September 5, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed Friday night in a traffic collision in Arroyo Grande, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly crash happened just after 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, on Lopez Drive near the Lopez Lake Dam.
According to the CHP, a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a Kia Optima for unknown reasons on Lopez Drive.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries. Sadly, the rider did not survive their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
There were no details regarding the driver of the vehicle. A section of Lopez Drive was temporarily blocked during the investigation.
