, California (August 4, 2021) – The second pilot who was among six people that died in a plane crash near Lake Tahoe last Monday afternoon has been identified as Alberto Montero De Collado De La Rosa, 43, of Mexico, according to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office.

The incident was reported just after 3:00 p.m. July 26, near the Ponderosa Golf Course.

The Bombardier CL 600 jet was headed to Truckee Tahoe Airport from Coeur d' Alene in Idaho. The plane crashed into the woods and caught fire as it was attempting to land at the California airport.

De La Rosa was one of the two pilots who died in the crash along with four passengers.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating the incident.
