Several People Injured After Car Crashes into Uncle Harry’s Bagels in Fresno

Fresno, CA. – Five people were injured when an SUV slammed into the Uncle Harry’s Bagels near Fresno State Friday morning, the Fresno Police Department reported.

The crash occurred just after 11 a.m. on Shaw and Cedar avenues.

Authorities said the shop was busy with about 25 people inside when a silver Lexus SUV crashed into it, going all the way to the back counter.

The Fresno Fire Department responded to the scene and evaluated everyone involved.

Three people inside the shop were treated at the scene. One of them was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

The driver and a passenger in the Lexus were also treated for their injuries at the scene.

Police officers said the sandal of the elderly woman driving the car got stuck on the brake pedal as she pulled into the business’ handicap parking space.

The incident is being investigated as an accident.
